–Â Step 3: Attach the hard copy of documents verifying your identity, attested by the attesting officer prescribed by the authority, Attach the DD and cheque through which the payment has to be made.

– Following the provision of the Information Technology Act 2000, Digital Signature is legally valid as it is issued by the Licensed Certifying Authorities. However, for different purposes, different classes of DSC are allotted.
–Â Class 0 Certificate: This DSC can be obtained only for testing purposes. As DSC is still not a very old or well-known facility to many, one can obtain a class 0 certificate and use it to understand the advantages of using it.
–Â Class 1 Certificate: This DSC is granted to the individuals or private subscribers
–Â Class 2 Certificate: his is granted to both business organizations as well as to private individuals, also to NRI and foreign individuals. It is used for important official purposes like – ITR, ROC and MCA filing.
–Â Class 3 Certificate: This DSC granted to the individual or organization carries a higher assurance for commerce applications. This is used for e tendering, procurement, trademark/patent filing.
It is the DSC with the highest value. It is valid only for 1 or 2 years.
–Â Root Certificate:Â By definition, it is either an unsigned public key certificate or a self-signed certificate to figure out the appropriate authority. It is basically validating the entire certification tree.
